At 18, we’re thinking about our life ahead and how we dream that everyone sees us for something bigger than what we are! At 18, our life has just began and our path is just being paved. So what happens when life is taken away from you when you just reach your peak? Just graduating High School ready to embark on your new journey. You feel like you’re having the time of your life and then one day (BOOM) your life has ended due to petty thieves. A case of “Wrong Place, Wrong Time”, or was it?, If only you were held up for seconds, minutes, or moments longer; just maybe you would’ve had your chance at another life. Are these the thoughts that might have been going through (Vanessa Honey Malone’s) Mind
Well this is the case for (Vanessa “Honey” Malone). On the 23rd day of October, what seemed like a normal day to Honey, turned into a tragic day as her life would be ended as she walked in on a burglary at a Stone Mountain apartment outside of Atlanta, Ga. Malone was 18 years of age and was a sweet and dedicated person from what many have said about her.
Despite this senseless act her family appears to be staying strong. They believe that with the help of Social Media that perhaps someone or anyone that knows even the smallest amount of information will speak up and give “Justice to Honey”. Malone’s family doesn’t understand why the other two individuals were unharmed and able to untie themselves and another person runs on foot without being harmed; yet Honey is left for dead. Honey too ran but was gunned down and dragged back into the apartment and left for dead. While all other parties were left unharmed with no injuries or tracings of a robbery; other than a wallet that was apparently taken from the couple.
